Empowering Black Women through Therapy

She’s high-functioning, exhausted, and silently carrying everyone.

You know her—she shows up for everyone, but no one really sees what it’s costing her.

At Myers-Galloway Counseling, we provide culturally competent, trauma-informed therapy for Black women who are navigating the emotional toll of being “the strong one.”
We specialize in helping clients untangle the long-term impacts of early caregiving, chronic burnout, and unresolved trauma.

Whether you're a doctor, therapist, or provider—when you refer to us, your client or patient is matched with the earliest available licensed clinician based on their needs, unless a preference is noted.

We Offer Therapy for:

  • Parentification – when someone was forced to grow up too fast and care for others as a child.

  • Emotional Neglect – when their emotional needs were dismissed or unmet in childhood or adulthood.

  • Professional Burnout – when they’re praised for overworking but privately overwhelmed and depleted.

  • Adult Children + Parent Issues – when past family dynamics still dominate present relationships.

We’ve served our community for nearly 10 years. In 2024 alone, our team provided over 1,600 therapy sessions—supporting Black women in leadership and caregiving roles, often ages 36–41, who are ready to stop performing and start healing.

Referral is simple and secure.
